I've tried looking for this, but can't find it. It's also my favourite introduction of any season... so much so I reckon I can type this accurately. I used to sing it all the time in 1998.

Holy Grail for sure, as it reminds me of the 05 06 years and Sydney's success during them. Great song, and very apropriate for the footy.

Snakeskin wasn't bad either, but didn't have the same energy or apropriate lyrics.

Not really a footy song and it's not often I praise Channel 7, but that slow-mo montage after the 2010 drawn GF with "Don't fight it" was perfection. Pity I can't find it on Youtube.

The Rugby World Cup has had the same theme, World in Union, for the last 20 years and I suspect many years to come. I never get sick of hearing it. The closest we've come with in AFL would be Kevin Johnson's Aussie Rules I Thank You. That said I do enjoy Up There Cazaly and That's the Thing About Football.

Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap pumps me up, especially for the finals and when Ch. 10 used it in 2009. Heard "Where the streets have no name" by U2 at the 2008 Preliminary Final Hawks V Saints and it fit in with the atmosphere really well

As long as we don't go the Rugby League route and pay Americans to make aweful songs and stick to traditional songs we'll be alright. The Bon Jovi song Rugby League is using makes me physically sick.
