So what? They'd refund the tickets, give the game to Hawthorn and sell out the stadium. Wouldnt take much to change the draw
You can't just strip the tickets from people who have paid for them. I wouldn't be giving mine up for some Hawthorn scumbag.

What? Have you never been to an event that was cancelled and you were offered a refund for your tickets? You can keep your tickets, it's just Essendon may not be playing.

yeah nah. It appears quite likely that the "waivers" provide legal exoneration for the players.
Not necessarily. It will depend on the manner in which they were drawn up, the wording and whether they can even classify as a legal document.

Not saying yay or nay... let's just see what the contents of such documents are. I'm sure they're being scrutinized heavily... well at least once they are put back line by line from the shredder, Argo style

I think what may have happened is that they simply didn't clear these injections with the AFL first.

In this scenario, almost everyone could be telling the truth (well, mostly); it was "borderline" and "radical" treatment like Reimers said, but not necessarily illegal. But if they haven't covered their backsides properly by checking with the AFL, they may have skated a bit too close to the borderline for comfort.

That explains why this is even a "Story" in the first place. If they had official clearance from the AFL, they could just show the journos the documentation saying it was 100% legit and it would be a complete non-issue.

Now this would be ridiculous stupidity from the club, leaving themselves open to all this stuff because some idiot didn't make sure they were covered first. That explains the stone faces and worried looks at the press conference. But it's a long way from being a bunch of cheats.

Everything else about where Dank got his stuff has nothing directly to do with Essendon.

Holy crap...everyone listening to the press conference? Looks like Essendon, among other teams, are in deep, deep shit.

I'm worried about West Coast, it's known we've had bandages covering up particular parts of players bodys
