Offer them Pick 10 and Langford to show Jaeger we made an effort, if they don't accept just get him to nominate a huge 1 year deal price and select him at pick 10 in the draft.
we have shown effort. The trade would've been done by now if it wasn't for cronche (if that how you spell it) idiot.
Ashcroft would've accepted our trade offers, but cronche like dick said no.
so we made an effort and got 10.
hawks have tried and tried and tried

Every Hawthorn supporting poster on BigFooty needs to watch the Clarko interview for they will never see a better insight into the workings, professionalism and culture of our great club. Very impressive and sets the record straight. There is no negative spin that any jouro could possibly put on anything Clarko had to say.
Very proud of the HFC and all it stands for.

Get him to put a 1 year deal 1.3 million price on his head and lets see if anyone takes the risk of drafting him, especially when they know he wants to be at Hawthorn and could just walk after 1 year.
Or, instead of a silly amount of money, we make a sensible offer of $750k x 3 years and if someone else decides to match it on a player who doesnt want to be at their club, then we use pick 10 on a gun kid.

No-one would match it. It would be a crazy risk to use a top draft pick on someone who doesnt want to be there.

Stuff that. We get JOM in the pre season draft and we get THE VERY BEST kid with pick 10 in the national draft.

Then all this heartache is worth it
Essendon would use their PSD pick for him because its a free pick. That is why we did all the trades to get pick 10. To put pressure on GCS to make the trade or we would use the pick in the draft.

Would they take 10 and Hartung?

Seemed he was the only one linked that hasn't been ruled out as saying he didn't want to.

I'd be more inclined now to just say 10 and stick it mind you.
Essendon bluffing, GC just trying to PO OMeara for showing how shite they are and wanting a decent club.

We can strike a deal with him after the silly offer though for like 400k a year for the 3 years following, meaning its 2.5 mill over 4 years in total.

Bushrangers, Kings,
The AFL need to step in and ensure a trade gets done.

Pick 10 and Hartung is more than fair for a player that wants out and hadn't played footy for 2 years.

This will turn into a complete embarrassment for the Suns and the AFL if he walks for nothing when there is a decent offer being presented and they would be stupid not to take what's on the table.

I worry about the whole put a price on your head when half the comp has a pick before you.

Wright did say we would be very active over the next few days and we were not finished so perhaps we are working on a deal with a third and 4th party to get this done.....

Gibbs to Crows
Pick 13 and Hartung to the Blues to play under Bolts.
Lyons and Hawks pick 10 to Suns
Omeara to Hawks.

Hawks lose pick 10 and Hartung and gain Omeara
Blues lose Gibbs and gain pick 13 and Hartung
Crows lose pick 13 and Lyons and gain Gibbs
Suns lose Omeara and gain pick 10 and Lyons.

I would think Mediation between the clubs would be a good thing in this instance, as it will probably show how inept the GC Chairman is at list management and trading. Why have a Recruiting manager and team if you think you're above it all and can make a list management call on behalf of the club. you're the chairman.. stay out of it.

I would imagine GW would hand over the list of potential offers already tabled to the GC for JOM to the mediators . It would then be clear that the hawks have made EVERY effort to satisfy GC and in certain circumstances have done so. I feel for Ashcroft, who I think would just like to get the deals done for JOM and Prestia, and work on moving or packaging picks together to bring some more experience to the club (Witts, Lyons, Ah Chee) - but has his hands tied at board level. Isn't that in itself a restraint of trade within your own club?

Age reporting that the Hawks have drawn a line in the sand and its pick 10 or get stuffed.

Mediation looks the likely outcome tomorrow.
That doesn't sound like how we operate.

But if so, nice. And we can then move onto getting rockliff as well.
