Only thing I'll say if we do trade a second older player is, remember the infamous 2-2-2?
Maybe it wasn't BS after all???
I'm just not buying it, there is absolutely no media about it.

This is exciting stuff.

Feel any movement of our older players may fall into a similar category to Mark Williams. End of the career, one last selfless act for the club you love, even if it means you have to leave.
Sam and Williams have same manager. Providing for the future. Also a died in the wool Hawk supporter.

I guess Melbourne are on the up. He would probably only be open to going to a side that will likely play finals and improve.

Our engine room will look so foreign next year if this eventuates.

Our engine room needed a good service after this year, but not sure I'm comfortable replacing the whole thing !

I think unfortunately Lewis is ready to fall off the cliff the fastest out of our veterans, at times he has looked simply apathetic out on the field, and like a hardened warrior he seems only able to rouse himself for combat by the time the 4th quarter rolls around. He has a hell of a lot of polish when he's on, but he has looked awful at times also.

I suspect that the captaincy conversations are decreasingly factoring Jordan in, as they'll likely go straight from Hodge to someone a bit younger... who knows, maybe Jaeger will be captain after one season? lol.

If this netted us a lock in a position for the next 5-10 years, wouldn't you do it? Imagine bringing in Gawn - ruck problems solved, or Petracca to work alongside Titchell... that's some serious grunt, Hogan - forwardline fixed (all these are probably a bit ambitious)

I've learnt to be impartial, because my feelings make me too sad! My silver lining is that I actually don't mind Melbourne, and more so sans Roos. Time will tell, in one trade period GW/Clarko might have set us up to be competitive in finals for the next 10 years... Minnows like North who hung onto their veterans for too long can only look on through tears.
