Those darn clubs keeping players who asked to be traded......

Did anyone here actually want Hill before he said he wanted to become a Bomber? I ain't even bothered. Now we can focus on the draft.

He fills a need for next year for sure but I think most understand at the end of next year we will be drafting 2 small forwards as father son.

Plus we have hird who is still developing. I doubt we pursue hill next year purely based on that.

I suspect there is still sour grapes about last year. If he had a different preference of club I dare say they wouldn't of such a strong stance.

Honestly if a player so vehemently doesn't want to play for you, you trade him. Can't imagine he's going to be giving them high output next year if everything that has been said is to be believed

If he spits the dummy and has a terrible year, not sure you will be as keen the following year. Hopefully he knuckles down. Strange decision by GWS. The kid is no superstar so seems like a weird hold on to IMO.
Don’t think you’ve lost too much here. Your list is good.

Nothing wrong with what GWS have done here.

They're not saying our offer is no good.

They're saying we want to keep him. And they're entitled to do so.
Yep, and as they said Green is out for 6 so they need their small forwards.

If the boot was on the other foot, we would be claiming it as a victory!

I think one of the Davey's plays further up the ground. Also, we have always been in that position (Davey's coming etc). We are not looking at 2021 as our window year, so I think we might still look at him.

Overpaying would've been way more detrimental than not getting him. A future second probably close to the right price and GWS didn't accept it so we move on.
