I feel that Geelong get a raw deal from the AFL system

Examples include:

*MRP decisions. Dangerfield, Hawkins etc etc. 50/50s shocking record for the club. Some players in other sides are bulletproof by comparison.

*The lack of protection of our stars on the ground eg Selwood. Tagged illegally every week. I do not feel that Geelong target other players in the same manner we are.

*We are the only side that does not get its fair share home games, even though we fund the grounds upgrades instead of investing in pokies. Costly to the club.
Geelong has made an announcement that it will not be involved in gambling in the future and it is extracting itself from existing operations.
The AFL also invested in the ground but it has done so for other clubs.

* The blatant baiting of the Gary Ablett transfer to the Gold Coast

* The efforts made by the AFL to induce Cook (CEO) to leave our club for another opportunity

* Reluctance to allocate Finals games at our home ground

* Equalization fund does not benefit us when compared to other clubs like Collingwood etc

*No granting of a Womans side despite funds invested and great effort by the club
etc etc

Geelong always tend to go with the flow but other power teams are squeaky wheels and therefore get more benefits. As a supporter I would like to club to be firmer on the points shown above. What is wrong with that?

The AFL is sick of us. We are the kryptonite to their equalisation movement. They want teams to dip down the bottom of the ladder before surging back up but we've totally skipped that.

Because of this our players are the only ones in the league whom get banned for outcome based scenarios that aren't preventable despite the fact that's how you were taught to tackle as a kid. Why was Dangerfield suspended yet Burgoyne & Mumford weren't after concussing players after slinging them to the ground which is much worse? Then you've got cases like Hawkins getting suspended for jumper punching Crouch who actually moved his own head back to make it seem worse. Then Cotchin whacked a bloke that looked much worse and got jack shit.

We request 9 home games and end up getting 7 which is the biggest disadvantage a team in any professional sporting league in the world has. So now we have to request 11 to get our genuinely wanted 9 games a year.

Other fanbases want us gone because we've bullied their club for over a decade to the point where they hate us for being successful out of envy and jealousy.

Two quick ones.

1.inability to choose where to play home games. Only team in that position.
2.two best players regularly belted behind play and no response from MRP. Legal tackle, MRP response. Mitch Duncan nearly killed, no response from MRP. Legal tackle, MRP suspension.

you get screwed on finals- but atleast travel is still minimised.

Rugby both codes are very big in QLD. NSW is much more an AFL target.

We get treated unfairly like a non vic club but also gets forced to play home games in melbourne like a melbourne club. Definition of unfairly treated.

The AFL shows disrespect to GFC which is a foundation club. It is all about the $$$. They will morph this game into a farce without a soul. Player movements, the father son rule will be chopped, manipulation etc. The game will be equalised so much that people will not care who they watch and who wins. The fans are the only ones that have loyalty and that will die the way the AFL is going.

Except that they should have 70 or 80 frees. Also it matters when those frees are given and the one which are not given. Stats mean nothing.

On one hand we keep hearing that the AFL keep looking after the Hawfies because of all their success, on the other hand we are getting stitched up because of all our success
