Under Age AFL U15s and U16s

Matt Rowell made the All-Australian squad underage, only U14 level. I have played against him many times at club level, he is an absolute monster. I have heard rumours of him tracking better form at his age than Chris Judd.

Absolute monster as in height? Usually blokes that size dominate very young- A lot of question marks whether they dominate.

I remember about 6 years ago the best player in Victoria was a massive tall and big bloke. By the time U18s came around he was rubbish and everyone had caught up in height.

No doubt one to watch though, good effort for an U14 lad.

Alot of the vic metro and vic country u16s are making there tac cup debuts, in fact most of them would be trianing with the u18s cause school footy has finished and etc

Yeah a fair few clubs tend to do that towards the last couple of rounds. I'll be keeping my eye on a few of them if I see them.

I've been trying to find the previous year's programs online to no avail in particular the U12's from 2013 and 2014.

No doubt that some of them (U12's) will end up being drafted by an AFL club.

Any names (non academy or F/S) stick out for you?

I think I've mentioned the Vic U15 guys earlier in this thread, not really sure about too many others. Only had a quick look.

Nothing really jumped at me, Nate Dear the U12 is the son of Paul Dear (and Harry Dear- Who is on the Crows' list younger bro)

How many ex-AFL players have Smith as there last name! Could be plenty of F/S in the U12s, I'll have to have a closer look at some point.

The mini metro carnival u15s happening u see the likes of jack bytel rylee west and joel crocker play a team i think could cause team headaches are western jets there interleague side came 2nd for vic metro championships .they got a midfielder called connor thar who was very stiff to be in the victoria team.but the other thing thign happening next month is V-LINE cup this is were is see ur paddy mcartins, hugh goodards, dyson heppell even the likes of rhys mathieson and darcy parish possible top 10s in the draft, the team that will be hard to beat are Penninsula stingrays they have 4 victorian players , good kpp players.

Sorry for bringing the tone of this thread down a few steps but Cooper Ratten, the 16 year old son of Brett Ratten, was killed in a car crash overnight.

He'd've played alongside and against some of the prospects on the first page.
