The AFLW needs to runner rule from the AFL.
Just in that 2nd qtr the carlton runner Andy Maher was on the field for a good 7 and a half minutes.

The quarter went for 17.
He was manning space to boot.
Q3.
7 and half minutes..
17 minute quarter

Considering the time it takes for Maher to formulate a question, can we be certain he wasn't out on the ground for that period of time just to relay a coach's instruction? ;)

How many people will actually watch Aflw when you have to buy a ticket?

As in % of current attendees? I assume the vast majority. The people who go now are mostly super passionate fans of women's footy, families with young kids, club diehards and others who are keen on an arvo of footy any old time.

Each of these main groups have in-built incentive to pay for attendance (be it to support the players, their club or the overall "movement" for lack of a better term) and if it's initially a significantly lower fee than a men's game, then the equation becomes even easier to justify.

When fans at games have been randomly asked vox-pop style if they would pay, they've responded very enthusiastically: "yes" (in general). Of course, this isn't flawless - I imagine those who elect to be interviewed would skew towards this view more than those who declined to be recorded.

But of the times when the question is brought up backed by the assumption that nobody would go if it wasn't free, there'd be a pretty strong overlap in the Venn Diagram with those voices who decry the league for existing and being: "worse than U16s" or "shoved down their throats".

So yes, many people would still go.

A fair few.

It’s a growing product, that will need support.

Now no one is forcing you to watch it. Or post here. Plenty of other platforms for you to beat to beat your chest loud and proud. This forum isn’t one of them.

That person's hunch seems spot on so far.

Cricket Australian announces Women's tour against South Africa is called off and Aus v NZ men's ODI series will be without a crowd.

GP in Melbourne has also been cancelled.
Yes it does.

1. Australia's Chief Medical Officer has a few minutes ago now advised the Fed. & State govts. to ban any public meetings (ie not limited to sports' meetings) of more than 500 people.

Unfortunately, it is very likely AFLW, AFL & all other pro codes (& semi-pro & amateur codes/Leagues usually attracting 500 people) will only be played in lock-out stadia.

Some AFLW games are played in suburban venues, fully open to the public (ie no fences/gates etc.) What happen to these games?

Trains in Melb. & Sydney, during morning & afternoon peak, have people packed in like sardines. At the main CBD stations, hundreds of thousands go through these stations each peak period.
Why no ban on public transport?
(Apart from the economic damage that would occur to the economy)

2. China is responsible for coronavirus- due to its irresponsible & immoral wet markets/unhygienic practices.

Will the world demand China cease these dangerous ( & immoral) practices?

Well BBT never thought I would see this particular item posted. To put it politely the Chinese do eat a greater variety of food than anyone else on the Planet.
The leading Chinese Virologist said yesterday that if countries did the right thing the epidemic would be over by June. He apparently has previously correctly predicted the Wuhan epidemic finishing about now.
