How many are actually coming in cold from another sport though? It would be well in the minority. Yes there are a few high profile cases and the hope of attracting Sam Kerr that get attention in the media.

I know the majority of Fremantle's list were playing footy for love in the suburbs prior to AFLW.

Are you so righteous and indignant when a European giant like Real Madrid come along and plucks some promising young talent out of the club that "made them"? Or when the Lakers poached Shaq from the Magic? Or when a Japanese or French union club with deep pockets offers a too good to refuse deal to an Aus/NZ player? What about when a young gun engineer or accountant starting to make a name for themselves gets headhunted for fast-track roles at Rio Tinto or KPMG? They had ZERO input into their development, yet reap the rewards of talent in it's prime. It's not fair *stamps feet*.

What strange comparisons to bring, completely irrelevant. None of them are done or marketed as a social exercise to ‘give girls opportunity’.
You can surely tell the difference.

The indignation is pointed whole and square at the AFL for not investing properly in grass roots for a century and then gutting other sports to make up for it.

AN Adelaide Crows women’s footballer reportedly claimed she was the victim of sexual harassment by an opponent from Greater Western Sydney during a recent AFLW match between the clubs.

According to a report in Fairfax Media, a GWS player allegedly touched the bottom of a Crows footballer and made lewd comments to her.

The report says the Crows player had made a complaint to the AFL, which triggered an investigation by the league’s integrity unit into the incident in the round four clash on February 25, which ended in a dramatic draw.

The GWS player is understood to have strongly denied the allegation when questioned by officials.

And, the Crows player decided not to pursue the matter further.

Dockers 4.6 to 4.0 up at 9.37 of Q3. Erin Phillips had 3 kicks for 2 goals at quarter time but since then she has only had 1 handball. I haven't got it on the telly, I'm just looking at the website but I would assume from that that she has been injured again.

That doesn't make it a non-issue. Just means she's been told to shut the * up. AFL integrity at it's finest. This sort of thing would be rife in the AFLW.

You're taking it as banter, like it's a bum tap and some banter between two heterosexual men playing footy. Likelihood is that one or both players are same sex attracted and the comment was far more than just banter.
