Both could've gotten 4 and 0.

How far in front must Yeo be in the club B&F

Ripping year for Yeo. He only polled 3 times last year (with a 1, 10 and another 1)

Yeo (55 this year) already ahead of all but Shuey (82) & Kennedys (69) YEAR End total from last year too. Not bad for half a season, especially considering we're 6&5.

Has polled

8,7,0,6,0,8,9,5,0,4,8

No votes in Richmond, Hawthorn and Essendon games. Votes in all 8 other games

Incredibly consistent season so far and has been a revelation

What were the coach splits for the round?
5 - Yeo or Ablett, Hanley
4 - Ablett or Yeo, Ablett or Yeo
3 - May, Yeo or Ablett
2 - Hanley, Sheed
1 - Lynch, Petrie

Something like that

Will Yeo poll well in brownlow?

There is no reason he shouldn't. I mean he takes pack marks, runs with the ball, kicks goals and rebounds well. He is a very noticeable player with his style of play.

The other advantage he has is that very few West Coast players will take votes off him. Dangerfield has to contend with Joel Selwood, Martin has Cotchin and a few others and so does Sloane.

Two of our losses have been close, so he should have polled votes in those games.

I think he could surprise many people and as I don't rate the majority of the media with their biased voting and their struggle to understand the game. I think the coaches votes are a good reflection of the best players on the ground. Whether the umpires agree remains to be seen.

Afl websites Brownlow predictor has Yeo on 8 votes currently...only given him one BOG so far this season. Not sure I agree with that analysis...

Most of the journalists, if they can be called that, at AFL house are about 23 years old and have no experience. They are also caught up in their own thought bubbles and rarely do their votes match up with the umpires.

Too true, probably haven't watched more than three eagles games this year...

Well if you look at the coaches votes, Yeo has polled in two of our losses (making him less likely to get votes) and hasn't actually had a 10 vote game, so he's never been voted by both coaches as best on ground. His consistency is excellent, but he could easily only have polled in a couple of games in the umpires see it a certain way.

I wouldn't get too excited over the Brownlow. We all remember how Shuey went last year.
