Because that was the agreement when the players consented to undergo out of competition testing for recreational drugs (something that isn't compulsory under world anti-doping guidelines.)

Don't confuse this with in competition testing. If an AFL player tested positive to coke on gameday like Wendall Sailor did, they would be instantly named, shamed and banned.

Channel 7 should be stripped of their broadcast rights, they bought stolen property and then broadcast confidential information, which was NOT in the public interest for a quick ratings grab. Take the rights off them, their coverage is shite anyway!

Are Freo &/or the Slime Talking to C7 this weekend???

I saw Brendan [The Peoples Eyebrow] speak on the Footy show last night with Fez & Nathan Brown and they seemed very very serious about the boycott. They certainly seemed to raise the stakes.
I cannot understand why C7 will not back down. Even if they do apoligise now, it will leave a bad taste in the mouth of many and has basically caused a rift.
As Brendan Gale stated last night, and as I have been saying - you just have to rewind back to the fact that this info obtained from a medical record which is legally protected as private. To buy it of some beanhead who stole stole makes it all the much worse. That journo who did it has destroyed his career and by right should be striped of his journalists accreditation. It is an abuse of public trust on all fronts.
It's also good to see a union with the balls to take some affirmative action, and it looks like they have solidarity on this issue across the board.
