It’s me again.
Ahhh! Finally it’s finals time in the Quaffool.
Two big games, both of which could go either way.
Sharks v Bombers at Shark Park: History says that once finals time comes around that the Sharks start to circle and at Shark park it’s going to be a tough ask for the Bombers to win. But I just can’t write the Bombers off.
It might just come down to the performances of the Eagle and “Loose” Jarjoura. Then again it might be White v McCauley, who will give their midfield the best ride? The Sharks have so many rotation options, but then again the no-name Bombers midfield aren’t too bad either. Both forward lines lack real potency if their main forward doesn't fire, but in the backs it would seem that the Sharks do have a stronger group. My best guess is that the Sharks will go on to play the Panthers next week, but not by much.
Lions v Vultures at the Lions Den: This is a tough call, will the small ground give the Lions enough space to run the Vultures around? Will Morrison, Tarrant and Furfaro come back into the Vultures team after only one week in the twos? Do the Lions have enough listed fit players to make it a contest. The Lions will have strength and run through the midfield, but Gilly, Savage, Scott, Pratt, Vearing, Lake & Jamieson are no pushovers either. The Lions likely to have Notting, Selwood, Adcock, Hooper, Roe all looking for an AFL finals berth in a weeks time and are going to be hard to beat. In a toss of the coin the Lions – I think, or is it best out of three?
Maybe an updated review tomorrow when we see the teams
