ToTC Gala was last night up here for AFLQ. Fantastic evening out, even the 'atmosphere' created at the convention centre was fitting. Walk down the red carpet to the ballroom through a number of footy run-through banners, 'Goal Umpires' on Stilts waving their flags, field umpires blowing their whistles and marshalling the guests into the rooms. Was all very very well presented.
The 100 nominees (or their reps for those deceased) were paraded and introduced at the beginning of the night. Good to see the current day AFL players nominated made the effort to be in attendance as well.
