To all those so-called experts writing these previews, at least get the names right. Last week Geelong had a Jason Moody playing, any relation to the cricketer Tom?
This week Geelong have Cameron Mooney playing. I'm sure he got suspended in round 1 for 2 weeks and that must mean he's not playing.
If you people are going to write them, make sure you have your facts right. But then again with this lack of knowledge you will all make perfect journos one day.

Last night ST had the crowd for the Ess v Carl 10,000 less than the official crowd .

10,000 is the total crowd at 3 NRL games.

Plenty of the people that do the previews/reviews aren't writing about the clubs that they follow and (in my case at least) have them written before we get to see the team lineups. So we have to take an educated guess. In my review of the Doggies vs Collingwood, I had to take a guess that Adam Contessa would be playing for the Doggies (turns out he's not, he's an emergency). Believe it or not, people that don't barrack for Geelong generally couldn't give a stuff about the in's and out's of your club.

So, here's the challenge for you (if you want to take it up). At lunchtime next Thursday, I'll post here a match of my choice for you to preview. You must post your preview by 6pm and be within a 500 word limit, and we'll see how you go.

I look forward to the reviews/previews every week, and I reckon all you guys are doing a fantastic job! I for one know I couldn't do it. Considering that the people writing the reports are taking a fair bit of time and effort to please the likes of you, I reckon you should give it a try Catman, instead of nit picking about one letter in one blokes name.

PS:- Shinners- Any doggies supporter who knew a fair bit about the team and Contessa would have said exactly the same thing, so we forgive ya!

Bring up the Grand Final day again. How boring you people are. At the way your going you won't see another Grand Final day in your history, unless watching it on TV.
I probably couldn't do any better with the article, but I was saying that they should be able to spell the players names correctly and realise that they players they mention are suspended or whatever.
If they don't give a stuff about the clubs their writing about, then don't do it.

Ah, there's where you're wrong again. We don't get a choice on who we write on. AFLTIPS.COM allocates the matches. While most of us would probably prefer to write about our own clubs, it was felt that it would be worthwhile to get an "outsiders" view of two teams competing. So essentially we're giving up our own preferences for the greater good of the whole package.

So, if you want to have a go at the contributors for getting the names correct, then maybe before you have a go at us, you should get your facts straight on why people are writing about teams they are.

Nah, we never get sick of the winces we get from Geelong fans whenever we mention the years 1989, 1992, 1994, and 1995.

I apologise as I don't know how the games are allocated. I am just going on what I would do, in making sure names are right etc.
If they choose not to then fine.
