Yes they do. If a player who takes a mark fakes a free kick, play stops till she get's carried off the field. Time will keep ticking. Typical AFL, not thinking anything through.

Do the AFL ever think anything through? Watch whichever team is leading in the GF to fake a bunch of injury's to waste the clock.

Even then all you have to do is have repeat boundary throw ins.
