Fremantle will unveil their seventh AFLW debutant this weekend with Brianna Moyes named in the team to take on Collingwood this Saturday at Fremantle Oval at 4.10pm.
In her first year on an AFLW list, Moyes was named as an emergency the past two rounds, but with Gabby O’Sullivan ruled out this weekend with suspension, the 27-year-old will get her opportunity to run out in a Freo jumper.
Laura Pugh is also an inclusion for this Saturday’s game, Cooper saying her height would be vital to stopping a tall Collingwood forward line.
Collingwood midfielder, Maddie Shevlin will make her AFLW debut when the Pies take on the Dockers in Perth this Saturday. Having been delisted by Melbourne as a rookie early last year, Shevlin had an impressive VFLW season, which saw her awarded the team’s best and fairest.
Nicole Hildebrand will also put on the black and white for her first AFLW match since departing Brisbane last season. Whilst Sophie Alexander will re-join the side, Pies’ vice-captain Emma Grant has been ruled out with an injury to her left shoulder sustained in last week’s match.
