We're back for 2025.

Marinoff a huge $1,878,000 (AVG 145)
with the next highest priced mid
Jas Garner $1,459,000 (AVG 112.6)

That $419k difference is gonna be a make or break gamble.

Reckon she will be 70+% owned lol

For sure, which means if there's a drop off, the 30% will get a fair leg up.

Noticed Bonnie Toogood is $500k.
Trading Hodder to Toogood final round cost me a hat. (Finished 113 iirc)
Not sure I can forgive her.

Ruck pricing interesting. No discount for Morphett AVG 58, priced more than the Wales sisters averaging 80+
Discounts of previous years shouldn't be a thing in AFLW.
Strom nearly $400k dearer than the rest of the pack.

$15.5m salary cap for 21 players.
Over 20% of your cap gone if you start
Marinoff M1 & Strom R1, what could go wrong?

Oh we are so back baby!

Looking at the list, it's gunna be a whacky year. So many unknowns, so many risks to weigh up, so many whacky positions it's gunna be a ride.

Also, pretty horrible list just accuracy wise, there's a good half dozen or more players that have retired/been injured/pregnant that ain't playing this time round.

So who are the forwards worth getting? Toogood is a must, I guess. Maybe Goldsworthy? Does Window play midfield?

Window was 49% CBAs, which was 3rd among Port mids behind Dowrick and Moloney.

My plan is to stack the midfield and pay up for Strom, so I'll probably have to find some budget options in the back and forward lines. Keeping an eye on the roles for Amber Clarke, Hannah Ewings and Paige Scott at their new clubs. Tayla Harris is expected to play round one. Not sure on the progress of Stannett, Howarth or Scheer.

AOL is probably my first picked forward, if I can afford her. Lauren Young will be in everyone's team if she's fit.

Stannett was managed and played only the first half of the first intraclub, though there's another one scheduled for this week which should give us some more info. No news on the other two yet, it's getting harder to get info with most clubs still way more focused on the mens.

I assume, if Stannett is playing minutes now, she'll be right for round one. Question on what role she'll play, though. She's also reasonably expensive, which may rule her out as I'm seeing very few decent budget options in the backline. If she's getting mid minutes - especially in Freo's midfield - straight in.

I don't see her getting that much mid time, given the Freo mid is now completely stacked, I think she'll end up with more of the season 7 DEF like role. One to watch, but there's gunna be a lot of juggling magnets at Freo across the board, gunna be hard to nail down the value picks.

Site is now open, too!

I can't start without Noffy, can I? Hmm, I don't think so.

Is Kiara Bowers good to go? Quite a good price for what she can do.

Also looking at the Essendon ruck situation and if Wales doesn't get up, who plays.

What are the best rookies only started playing fantasy in general last year and did aflw and sucked really bad cause i didn't know any rookies only like top players as i was a very casual watcher.

Most of last years draft crop are a level above the usual bunch.
Ash Centra went pick 1 for a reason,
(and Collingwood tanked to get her... Just jokes, rough run with injuries, but still...)

The problem is, most of them are mids and I can't see starting a rookie mid on the field.

Can still grab 2 with Mid E & Utility at least.
At this point I have Centra M5 as funds run out pretty quick with Marinoff & Strom.

$205k left and need another $8k to get Gay over McEvoy otherwise Thomas starts her second successive season as my D1.

1 - No (or maybe only for round 1 as the crows play away, could be a tactical leg up or big fail)

2 - Bowers equal 1st in Freos time trial so has hit the ground running on return from pregnancy leave.

3 - Wales surely misses most of this year with her very late October ACL. Matilda Dyke still the likely replacement.

Bowers is more than good to, she looks far better than she has in years. Knee was heavily strapped for the intraclub, but played the game out in usual turbo fashion.

The only question is what Freo do with their mids. Turbo ain't ever played with McCarthy, and McCarthy still seems to have the jucier role, and led the intraclub in disposals along with Strom. Miller also played real well, and Stannett is back. So really just gotta wait for the sim/praccy to really know what the midfield is gunna look like.

Probably not relevent, but Port's Caitlin Wendland is out for the season having done her ACL.

She was handy last year from memory.

Same too with Daisy D'arcy (GC)
Only mentioning this as I noticed she has the 5th highest (non rookie) defender ownership.

On the midfield side, GWS's third mid spot behind Parker and Beeson could be up for grabs, read that Goldsworthy will be spending more time forward this season, Srhoj was also mentioned as traning in the midfield so she could be a watch, funny price though in the 700s

There's a lot of spots up for grabs at the moment, with Randall and Dalton retiring, there's a couple of def roles as well. There's going to be some major shuffling of the magnets, with a big watch on the GWS Davies, who is having concussion issues and is likely to miss games, massive shame as she was looking fit after a NTFL stint.

And right now O'Dowd is still playing Gaelic, so there's a ruck spot too.

GWS is my side, so I'll be all over the praccys and sims.

They could be candidates for D5/6 and M5 from them

Just swapped Fleur Davies out from my bench earlier today. Had to pay up for Havana Harris for now. See how the other $300k Rucks go.
