Such a terrible shame to see Phillips injured like that just minutes away from lifting a premiership cup. It's a cruel game, and there seems to be no end in sight to the prevalence of serious knee injuries in the sport.

It was a good response from our girls in the second half - lots of terrific effort, for little reward. Well outclassed on the day, but overall, a hugely positive season.

This Crows team is a seriously good unit. They look a couple of years more advanced in development than most, physically and in a football sense. Being the sole team in Adelaide in the near term is going to serve them very well in these expansion years, and they're poised to be quite the juggernaut in the coming seasons.

Mercifully. Excellent season, disappointing end. A good effort to limit the damage in the second half. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see what we do with our list - fantastic growth over the course of the season, but numerous concerns at the bottom end ... not that this particular problem is unique to us in the AFLW, as the talent pool is limited.

Indeed, it will be nervous times for all the incumbent teams, as the newbies circle our lists. I just hope that none - or at least very few - of my favourite players are lost to us during this process.
