Potential Milestones and History Making Moments

If North win, they become the first AFLW team to win back-to-back flags in the competition.

If the Lions win, they become the first club to win the AFL and AFLW Premierships in the same year.

This will be Craig Starcevich’s (Brisbane Lions) seventh AFLW Grand Final. He also played in the 1990 AFL Grand Final for Collingwood.

This will be Darren Crocker’s (North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos) third AFLW Grand Final. He also played in the 1996 AFL Grand Final for North Melbourne.

50 games – Erika O'Shea (North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos)

100 goals – Jasmine Garner (North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos), currently on 98

Pretty definitive stuff from the North women. Brisbane are a strong unit but North weathered the storm and ran away with it like they have all year long. Didn't drop a game all year long and it was easy to see why today, guns all over the park and well-organised too. Setting a new benchmark for the W comp.

Blows my mind that so many people seem to be saying that Norths dominance is bad for the comp and something should be done to break them up.

Its just a hunch, but I reckon a venn diagram between these people and those who claim that the standard of womans footy is too low would be a circle.

Why is the premier league more popular than the Bundesliga or the Spanish football league?

An even comp is good for the game.

People have the same issue with AFL last year especially. They need to find a way to quicken rebuilds, or the best players will leave the bottom clubs and situation will get worse.
