Hard to believe Howarth didn’t sustain a more significant injury after watching her knee buckle in that play. One tough lady. I thought she’d done a shoulder in a game earlier this season but she fronted again the next week.

I was definitely fearing the worst seeing her limp off.

NEW UPDATES

Bri Davey

Bri Davey will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2025 NAB AFLW season as she recovers from an ankle injury.

The midfielder underwent surgery last month, which has pushed back a return-to-run program. Davey will adopt a longer-term approach to her recovery with a focus on returning to full strength and fitness ahead of the 2026 pre-season.

Carly Remmos

Carly Remmos sustained an injury to her SC joint during Collingwood’s Round 8 match against the West Coast Eagles.

Remmos will be unavailable this week as she continues to be further assessed. A return to play timeline will be communicated in due course.

Ruby Schleicher

Ruby Schleicher will be assessed for this weekend’s game as she continues to manage a thigh contusion. The midfielder received a knock to her right leg during the side’s Round 7 game against the Western Bulldogs.

OTHER UPDATES

Mattea Breed

Mattea Breed will take a longer-term approach in her recovery after being placed on the Inactive List to ensure a return to full strength leading into the 2026 AFLW pre-season.

Well with 2 games to go we be best to Tank
its gonna be tough to do tomorrow, when we are playing the suns, who are having a poor season too lol Its the only game we could win.

Never want to see a teammate wearing the Pies jumper give anything less than 100%. Every win is a building cube.
Correct, what will be will be. But they'll be aiming to win every game possible. It'll also only help the growth in the group moving forward. The more games we get into the youth and to build on the chemistry will only pay dividends in the long run.
