I think that might be her best for the club.
Who does lutkins replace when she comes back?
As someone who doesn’t watch a lot of AFLW can I ask if people truthfully enjoy watching these horrendously lopsided games? It’s an uncompetitive training drill.
There seems to be a chasm between the top 6-8 and bottom 6-8. Too quick with the expansion?

After following the women from day 1 I certainly feel invested in each and everyone of them and it has been fantastic to watch them develop their skills and team work over the seasons. Also having Starc at the helm is such a positive for the club and enjoy his insightful and sometimes controversial Pressers. Being a Lion for so long with many lean years, having a successful team always helps. Did you enjoy watching the men beat North Melbourne by more than a 100 points this season? As someone who doesn’t watch a lot of AFLW can I ask if people truthfully enjoy watching these horrendously lopsided games? It’s an uncompetitive training drill.

my pop says it reminds him more of how the mens game was back when he was younger. surprised a lot more of the old heads dont watch itHonestly watching the Lions AFLW play is pretty good. The other teams are competitive in close - they contest well. The Lions are just superior moving the ball forward. The men’s AFL has similar differences really, good teams mostly overwhelm weaker teams even though they compete hard at the contest.
One team getting high scores is fun if it is your team. It is when both teams battle out a four goal slog that it gets a little harder to enjoy. That will change in time.
There is also a real feeling that the girls are actually enjoying themselves - without intending to be condescending in any way, it is a similar vibe to watching junior footy - the love of the sport and playing with mates. It makes the games more enjoyable to relax and watch I think.
Yes I did - but it was one game. There were probably two uncompetitive teams in the male competition this year, it seems as if there is a much greater divide between the good and not-so-good AFLW teams.Did you enjoy watching the men beat North Melbourne by more than a 100 points this season?
Expansion was always going to do this. Especially in SAA,WA NSW & Qld - where the established side has the local talent tied up and the new team gets the rest. Give it time. IMO, money spent on the AFLW is a better investment than GWS.Yes I did - but it was one game.
