The 2024 AFLW Trade Period is officially underway, and will run from Thursday, December 5 until Wednesday, December 11.

Adelaide now have pick 12 following a six-club, one-player, 16-pick deal that was agreed last Friday.

So they're ahead of our pick 15.

Poppy was at the Port BnF last night, so she is going to be a flight risk for anyone who drafts her.

That's what I thought when I saw her ranked at #3 by the Rookie Me Central guys, and then I realised we will never get a pick that high in this draft.

Rookie me Central sent me an email to their 2024 AFLW Draft Guide about 10 minutes ago. You can't down load it so here is a couple of screen shots of their top 50 rankings.

Of course #1 ranked is a northern academy player and they can match the bid. She is a member of Gold Coast Academy and was an all Oz player in 2023 and 2024 and last year as a bottom age player won the carnival's MVP.

Yep my main concern is where is our depth coming from.

No early picks, so Scholz and Rasheed will be gone.
Not sure if any decent locals available after that.
Some good players gone, and only one "in" so far.

Which is actually a valid point to make, considering how few All Australians were selected from North.
