Still a lot to play out with which of the more high profile players are likely to leave due to facing pay cuts with the fixed tiered player contracts and other changes (TLR, Gilroy etc) and how hard we feel we need to cut, but yeah at first glance I would imagine it would be players like Exon, Stratton, Kemp and Butterworth on the outer and feeling nervous.

Seems like tilly will go, purely based on the media is speculating, and when that happens in the aflw, it tends to happen.

Gilly told me at the start of the year that 2026 was going to be it, but media again says she may retire (change of heart after an injur interrupted year?)

Ill be surprised if butterworth gets delisted.
She is rated internally, but still has a bit to work on. If it was a 40 player list like the mens she gets kept on.

Ainslie will get kept if she isnt chased by another club. This is a training standards thing and not necessarily a personel thing.
Aflw has a very strict no contact clause on players, so it is up to the players to organise their own off-season. Kemp is the leader of this, and i know webster rates this

Without trying to shade the specific players, but if we're going into next season without TLR and Gilroy, but keeping Ashmore and Sheriff I'll be very perplexed especially if as a team they're meant to take that next step.

Just because shes contracted doesnt mean she wont be moved on.

Interesting to see that we recruited two non-footballers.

If I was to point to where we struggle to match the top sides, I’d say it’s in skill execution and football intellect.

Will be intriguing to see whether either Maya or Hannah are able to adapt to the game quickly enough to help fill that void.

We are going to have to see 4-6 players improve significantly next year. We've made ourselves weaker and we haven't had this bad depth since season 1. This is a team aiming for making the finals, not establishing itself as top 4.

Looney will be like a mature age recruit if she can adapt. And versatility will be the key because of the Gaelic skills. Can plug in back, forward, on wing etc. So will see.

I guess Dear is a spot that means a bit more than just on the field, but she'll have two seasons to see what she can do.

List spot 30 is also going to be key. I'm hoping they can do something similar to when they plucked Breed from the NT.
