Not sure how many saw this a few days ago but the Levi sisters have been training with former dual international/Gold Coast legend Mat Rogers and they haven't ruled out a potential switch to the NRLW. That would be pretty disappointing for us but the Levi girls seem determined to play as many sports as possible at the professional level and I don't blame them given they're both still teenagers. I know we'd love to get them back into our AFLW team but the Titans have an NRLW team these days and they are definitely a genuine chance to land them. Potentially even the Broncos NRLW team as well. Once again, this just shows how talented these two girls are!

That would be disappointing.

Wonder if the suns will get to the point where they would want an answer to if they plan on coming back or not. Or if the suns should just move on with others.

Its one thing for the olympics or CG, but NRLW... given the change in AFLW fixturing going forward, could rule them out.

I really want these girls to play for us. They are fine and would be a big inclusion for us to challenge for an AFLW flag

Fair to say Southport's era of QAFLW dominance has begun. They belted Yeronga by 37 points last week in their QAFLW debut and smashed Coorparoo by 54 points today. They are currently on the top of the ladder with a percentage of over 600%!

Last week our academy star Alana Gee kicked two goals for Southport and Britt Perry kicked four goals on her way to being named in the bests for the Sharks. This week Perry kicked three goals for the Sharks and Hannah Davies, who I assume is Giselle/Fleur's sister, kicked two goals. Having Southport develop our academy stars into AFLW players is going to make such a big difference for us!

Bond University are also dominating early in the QAFLW season and currently sit second on the ladder.

The Bombers are looking to lure Carlton’s 2020 league best and fairest Madison Prespakis, while Hawthorn have sounded out twins Breann (Carlton) and Celine (Bulldogs) Moody, and are also interested in Gold Coast’s Janet Baird.

Elsewhere, fellow expansion side Hawthorn is expected to lock away the signing of Gold Coast youngster Janet Baird on a two-year deal. The 22-year-old has played just three games for the club across the last two seasons.

But the Suns are expected to retain Kalinda Howarth. The talented 22-year-old had garnered attention from rival clubs ahead of this year's sign and trade period, but is set to remain at Metricon Stadium on a two-year deal.

5.30- Kate Roffey has had a dig at us at the AFLW Presentation.. Why? We aren't even a bottom side!! Proves that she knows a lot about AFLW when we did actually play them this season!

She’s got no idea.. we play them this year at casey and last year at Metricon

Probably meant West Coast, who they haven't played in the last 2 years.

Collingwood and the Bulldogs have never played at Casey Fields, though all four of Melbourne's games v North have been there. Could point to such swings and roundabouts for every team.

Complaining about playing at Norwood Oval is much more out of touch than merely mispeaking. This year was the first time the Dees had a H&A game in SA (Eagles and Tigers the only teams yet to have one).

Star Sun on radars

Jamie Stanton is weighing up interest from one side of the country to the other.

The Gold Coast Sun, and former Lion and Roo, is understood to have been sounded out by Fremantle and West Coast in recent weeks in relation to a move west.

She has also had interest from New South Wales.

The ballwinner – who was the Suns’ inaugural best and fairest winner and finished third in the club award this season – delivered a consistent 2022 campaign.

Should she elect to move, it could mean Stanton becomes the first AFLW player to play for four different clubs.

Please no she is a gun

Southport are still dominating in the QAFLW. Top of the ladder with a 4-0 to start the season and a percentage of 534%.

I think it's fair to say we'll be drafting a few of the Southport girls this year!
