Nice to see Southport with the second most selections (5) of all Queensland teams, despite only entering the QAFLW this year. Also great to see Bond University with the most selections (6) of all teams in Queensland. Shoutout to Burleigh for their three selections but I imagine those players will eventually end up in Bond Uni jumpers as well. The future of women's footy on the Gold Coast is in great hands with both Bond Uni and Southport nurturing our young talent.

Bond University - 6
Southport - 5
Aspley - 3
Burleigh - 3
University of QLD - 3
Maroochydore - 2
Broadbeach - 1
Morningside - 1
Toowoomba - 1
Victoria Point - 1
Yeppoon - 1
Yeronga - 1

So disappointed and shattered. I always feared she would go to Hawthorn given Bec Goddard coaching Hawthorn and how she played VFLW for Hawthorn but really didn’t want this to happen. She was crucial last season to our improvement and her footy IQ and experience means a lot to our young list. What is also more annoying is that she will leave and we get nothing for her- yep that is right zero compensation 😔 lets hope the Levi girls are back

Perko is a blow. Her footy IQ is just better than anyone else we have on the list. I'm a bit surprised she left us given we're the ones who gave her the olive branch and got her career back on track, but oh well. That's footy I suppose.

I think it opens up the forward line for howarth to have more of an impact.. if it was bohana leaving then I’d be worried

I should've posted this yesterday:
Moneyball understands Carlton could lose another frontline AFLW player with their 2022 leading goalkicker Courtney Jones seriously considering a trade request to the Suns.

And also:
Jamie Stanton is understood to have resisted overtures from West Coast to remain at the Suns.
