All our women played well tonight.

Arnell was selfless, handing the ball off when she could have had a ping at goal, helped to set up a number of scoring shots.

Downie won her fair share of the ruck contests, although tapping to advantage wasn't her strong suit tonight, at least the midfielders were capable.

Stevens was good to see out and about, moved around the ground quite a bit and can read the game, knew where to position herself.

Hosking didn't get as much of the ball as I had hoped but ran all night and was down on the ground in contests often, even got clotheslined by Frederick-Traub and bounced right back into action.

Davey is a gun. Hard at the ball, doesn't quit, tackling machine and just powers through it all, we knew this from the AFLW season proper but she played very well tonight, sadly no goals for her effort.

And Harris, not too bad, a couple of dropped marks here and there and had a knee scare early on so may have been easing up a bit for the rest of the evening to protect herself. Still had a number of contests up forward and was directing team mates from the boundary line when on the bench, a good communicator on field.

Overall I was very pleased, although seeing some of the other Victorian talent from other teams was a bit scary, they all played really well with a full season of VFLW in them, skills were much better than back at the start of the year, less dead ball.

Good synopsis i loved watching our girls out there... Davey is my favourite an absolute gun skills where good Daisy Pearce is such a great ambassador for AFLW looking forward to the season

Davey is awesome.

It was a great advertisement about where the AFLW is heading as skills and talent develop across the comp.

The sooner we pay them proper wages and stop restricting the hours they can train the better.

Loved the "we stuck it up them" at the end.

not sure what such a flogging says about the state (hee hee) of other women's leagues around the country

reckon Victoria is probably well served by population density (in comparison). we'd have more feeder comps and which would improve DEPTH at VFLW.

A few of the interstaters came to play VFLW this year eg. Marinoff

The Vics had the advantage in that most of these players play with and against eachother all season in the local leagues before now and this year in the VFLW. The Allies are mostly from different states and only had one training game/session before last night.

Davey is awesome.

Davey is awesome but Hardiman is the most underrated player on the list.

As someone who was a KPD for a long time I probably pay more attention to the back line players and Danielle is a flat out top line defender.

It was nice to see she got recognised in the B&F count finishing R/U. Should have got a gig in the origin game (unless she was injured).

She was injured.

Agree she's underrated. She allows Davey to roam by holding the fort in the backline. Very important.
