Bar an incredibly unlikely miracle, this will be the last time we see our #GameChangers in action this season. After an incredibly tough draw for a team that also missed the finals last year, we have won 3 games on the trot, 2 against teams that were in the running for finals when we played them. We have played a lot of youngsters this season and we have seen a lot of improvement and our game plan has become apparent. The big thing for us is trying to keep our list together as new expansion clubs come into the competition.
We are up against a Melbourne side who are breaking scoring records all over the place and are only a few percentage points off top spot.
Our ex-player Tayla Harris has been on fire for her new team this year, and Paige Trudgeon is likely to get the job on her. She's going to need someone standing in the hole to help out, at the risk to their own safety and wellbeing.
Daisy Pearce kicked a bag last week, but the Blues will be well served by the likes of Pound or Laloifi nullifying her.
It is going to be a massive test for our midfield with the Dees boasting a heap of talent. Maddie Prespakis in what may be her last game for us if rumours and media speculation is correct, will want to show she has not lost a step. Mimi Hill has become our best player and can't be nullified because of her ability to find the ball and use her pace to find space.
Darcy Vescio had an ordinary game last week and the intensity of previous weeks seems to have waned once she got to the 50 career game mark.
The only change I can see is Lucy McEvoy coming back in. Whether that is for Brooke Walker who replaced her last week and was quiet upon her return, time will tell.
What tactics do you think we can employ to try to upset Melbourne?
