Just once I'd like to watch a Carlton game without having to see a blatant and pivotal free kick be ignored by the umpires. Darcy got a clear smack in the face in a marking contest at a time when she was on fire and within her range, but no free kick.

There can be no excuse for that, it doesn't matter what angle the umpire is on. The defender either chopped her arms, made contact with her face, or made contact with the side of her head. All of which are a free.

If Darcy was Jack Riewoldt, she would have gone down holding her head and writhing in "pain". Maybe that's what you need to do?
