And the one that took aine out was ok...How is it not realistic when she got her hands to it?
That was an unbelievable call. How the **** do the umps not know the rules? How is it not realistic when she got her hands to it?
I think Harrington and Eardley were strong marking targets for each team, just a high pressure game from both sidesOur aerial ability with key position players was inferior to the Blues who seems to have sticky hands
Some really tall and solid girls in blue tonight held them together.
We beat the Lions in a very similar game to last year.I wonder how much Kempy's injury affected them? ACL's are a "if you know, you know" which would definitely apply and it happening at training is just unfair too. Easily could have rattled the whole team. Kempy stamped herself into the defence last season and is integral part of the team. Heart goes out to Ainslie and her recovery.
I will say, all caveats about players out and not having our best side on park, after 2 games I'm not convinced yet we can do better than last year (ie win a final). Jaz out is testing the midfield depth we left go during the off-season.
D-Web's the expert not me, but I'm just not sure we have the right composition up front and back, especially with talls. We're very reliant on Everist and now Allen down back, I can't see that being sustainable against good sides.
Still 10 games to go, happy to wait and see how it all plays out.
