We are looking very good around the ground, still just missing that connection with our forwards.

Great to see Symonds kick her first goal too.

A few too many broken tackles that quarter and the forward connection is quite non-existent but we have looked good otherwise.

Wouldn't mind us playing Coyne or Fleming more as a half forward and hopefully get a bit of run up there which we seem to be lacking especially with Gilroy still out

Some 6 metre kicks to Adelaide marked that quarter while some 20 metre kicks not paid for Hawthorn.

Crows just too good today, our forward connection this year has been very poor. Hopefully Gilroy is back next week, she will make a huge difference.

Well it was interesting listening to Daniel Harford's commentary, after he graduated from The Jason Dunstall school of shitting on every hawthorn free kick and lauding every opposition free kick.

He genuinely hates the hawks though. Not like he once did, but he still feels hard done by from.when we got rid of him

Dunstall tries to be unbiased but goes too far the other way

Nothing on yesterday's game vs Collingwood? Well I won't start a thread for it either.

Consider ourselves lucky again winning an unconvincing scrap. So far only convincing thing is the ladder.

Glad Gilroy is back but that forward line is not clicking as we'd hope despite Aine's consistent 1-2 goals. Can't really work out if it's personnel issues or coaching plan. Mix of both.

Finals will be a true test and hopefully everyone is firing by then. Pass mark is to win one.

Same for Geelong next week, they're a class above Collingwood imo and Prespakis is red hot.

We arent playing good footy at all, but wins are wins and that holds us in good stead in such a short season.

Work to do though

Yeah sorry usually put up one when the teams are announced but was caught up in Prelim final distractions.

Was great to see Gilroy back as she really changes our F50 entries. West also got a bit more freedom than previous weeks.

Everist huge in the backline.

Nice to see Coyne get a goal.

Work to do though

15-2 H&A season over last two years (currently) means they're doing something right, so they're definitely deserving of being treated as a finals team. What their ceiling is, and whether they can get close to the top teams, that seems to be the question.

I still think we are a long way off.
A lot of the initial senior players have been moved on.

We are also significantly smaller than the big 3. There's only so much that can be done about this, and its clear Webster has identified the issue, but rather than trying to match them, he's going for a different gamestyle. Which has seen us go 1/4 against those big 3 teams over the last 2 seasons.

Still some work to do, but teams have put time into us despite us only making a semi, we are figuring out plan b when plan a was still a work in progress
