Gold Coast have been smashed by injury, finished second-last last season, and are playing away from home on the longest road trip in the game. If we can't win this one, fold the club.

We should win... But if our forwards can't kick a good clean score in the patches we're up and it's close whatsoever in the last quarter, I'll be terrified of Rowbottom. Would put GC down for a few goals tonight just by virtue of her forcing it forward.

Keen to see how Lewis goes fwd (not that being named there necessarily means much). She's got underrated goal sense IMO and will need to make the pressure fwd role a genuine option in her game the stronger our midfield gets.

First time I've ever watched an AFLW match but will do so tonight as I've had a lot of involvement with Lucia at the Pioneers last year and we spoke on a few occasions about how she'd love to come to Perth to play. Very keen to see how she adapts to the highest level as she seemed ready made for AFLW for years. We've missed her this year at the coal face for the Pioneers girls team.

I'm used to the game to some extent as I've photographed the Talent League girls for the last two years.
I hate the lasso last-touch rule. It is infuriatingly bad.
