We peaked 4 weeks ago. It’s been a steady decline since then. Our present performance would struggle against Carlton, to be honest. It’s always hard to build a team from scratch. The team performed admirably, regardless. Next year we’ll be older, wiser and more coherent as a group.

They weren't going to win the GF on recent form but that was pretty disappointing after what has been a really good season.

Yes, and everyone but the AFL could see it was a problem from the start of the season.

As I said hopefully it sparks a discussion about it at head office, they realise they were wrong and just do a normal system like the mens comp. Was no reason to split the teams.
