Woohoo

Was GC's mens first win also over Richmond?

This would be seen as a disappointing start for the Richmond win wouldn't it - they seem to have been heavily promoted, continually boast about their membership tally & supporter base, they went hard with signings from other clubs & the trade table:
- pick 1 traded for Monique Conti
- pick 12 Sabrina Frederick

Seems like this wouldn't be the sort of start they had anticipated or wanted considering the noise made when entering the competition

Just shows getting talent from other lists doesn't make a good team i actually prefer how we went about it

That passage of play by Freo to take the ball from the defensive goal square to the other end of the ground & ultimately a goal was great to watch

Is it just me, or is Sabrina Frederick one of the most overrated players in the AFLW?

Agree first season she was ok but seems to be getting slower and slower
She seemed to come from no where in the first season - or at least didn't seem to be necessarily one of the big names going into the season.

Not sure if it's just that in the 1st season it seemed that she was bigger than opponents, that Brisbane had a good team around her (obviously as they were runners up that year) and maybe being an unknown meant she took the opposition by surprise

It also seems that as we have moved into the 4th year of AFLW, that it takes more than just being bigger than your opponent to have the better of your opponent - teams & players are growing and they are becoming more experienced.
