Cursed Cat you called it as the worse game you’ve seen from Darby, well it seems the coaches agree as she’s been omitted from this weeks team…

Geelong has made one change ahead of its clash with North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos, with Mia Skinner returning to line-up.

The forward missed last week’s game against Collingwood with knee soreness, but is ready to go straight back into the side for Friday’s clash in Launceston.

Skinner is yet to kick a goal at AFLW level after making her debut in Round 1, but shapes as a potential key avenue for goal as the Cats look to increase their scoring. The 21-year-old was Geelong’s leading goalkicker in the VFLW season with 21 majors.

Kate Darby will be the omission, and has been named in the emergencies alongside Maddy Keryk and Brooke Plummer.

Young ruck Kalani Scoullar will play her second game at the elite level, while Georgia Clarke has been named to start in the forward line.

Geelong takes on North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos at University of Tasmania Stadium on Friday night, with first bounce at 5.10pm AEST. The match will be broadcast live on 7 Mate and Fox Footy, and can be streamed through womens.afl and the official AFL Women’s and AFL Live apps.

We have number 9 and 29 with the same name lol

We have number 9 and 29 with the same name lol
Didn't notice that...

We also have two different #9s - Nina is the real #9

Looks like they missed #25, Mia Skinner who I can't see on the team sheet

We've played a lot of dumb wet weather footy, if you aren't the highest skilled team to begin with then don't try do it when it's being played in a swimming pool

Not high contact apparently...
Not sure we'd want to it be though

There was similar last week in the Adelaide vs North match - Adelaide player in getting boot to ball, unfortunately also made contact with her opponents head; it was accidental and play on was called

It's not nice to see, but that doesn't make it a few kick or an infringement

If we could tap it on instead of trying to pick it up we'd be golden.
These north defenders all rush at the loose ball instead of defending the forwards.

That Mia Skinner may just be the worst footballer I have ever seen at any level. Barely even offers a contest when they go to her

Our number 29 has her well and truly covered. Heaven help us if Liv Fuller ever goes down with injury.
