Interested to get some people's thoughts on the viability of an AFLW State of Origin comp. I personally can see some potential in it, although probably not for a few years yet.
Could be an exhibition style match (or a couple) held in the middle of the year (during men's bye week?) to ensure it wouldn't impact on the women's season. Also provides some insurance against injuries that may occur.
Does someone have some data readily at hand that show SOO for the current AFLW players? Anybody care to make a couple of example teams? I'm guessing it's fairly heavily Victorian-biased at the moment, but could be wrong.
