Maybe if Benny keeps fit somehow he could be the Shane Warne of the AFLX and get a AFLX franchise contract maybe Juddy and Kerr as well ........

Here's a thought. Make it a IPL type comp with clubs allowing the fringe players to p
Ay and supplement them with recently retired gun players. Salary all outside the cap. Gives the kids opportunity to earn more coin and the retirees some extra super for life after the big league.

Also need to encourage marks and goals.
 
How many people would have enjoyed the AFLX, if they had 20 mins of commentary for each match. Instead of 10 minutes of split screens and interviews with anyone who walked past.

I could even forgive B.T for not knowing the players names if they had tried a bit more.

For most of the matches, it felt like the teams were warming up in the background, (instead of playing) while there were interviews about how great AFLX was.

Absolute pointless with the split screens and it was actually infuriating. Have boundary interviews or whatever but you dont bloody need to show them just play the audio in the background. Dumbfounded how a decision wasnt made by channel 7 to very quickly alter this and it continued throughout the whole series

Watching the replay of AFLX and feed Nelson is tripe, he want be best 22, every 2nd possession is either holding the ball, out on the full or a free kick to the opposition.
 
Hamish Brayshaw, Venables, Rioli look set for game time in 2018. Surprisingly Petrucelle used the ball well and looks better than I thought he would be, have to see how he goes under pressure though in a real afl game.

Looks better than i expected but he i still some way before he gets a debut. It was a very bruise free style of football... and one Masten should have been playing because he would be best on in every game.

They did a poll last year showing that a large majority of fans want it back, so I'm sure they're discussing it.

So I bet you they'll try to resurrect SOO with AFLX then turn around and say "It's what the people want!"

How?

Because in the preseason i watch a game of aflx and decide that afl is the worst sport in the history of sport?
 
Was a ridiculous decision to force AFL teams to play a newly invented version of the sport, should have experimented with it elsewhere. Imagine the NBL forcing teams to play 3 on 3 basketball or the A-League forcing teams to play 5 a side football on an indoor soccer sized field. Especially with the claim that nobody was injured in the 1st AFL tournament when 3 of our players actually were, it's too much of a risk especially during pre-season. Good thing we didn't send any of our more senior players.
