I don't think it will be as terrible as everyone thinks.

Hindmarsh Stadium will sell cheaper drinks than Adelaide Oval.

And I'm presuming it'll be rookies and fringe players, Trent McKenzie bombing goals from kick ins.
I reckon that will be the most interesting thing when im there with the lad. Given its played at coopers stadium i better be able to get a pale.

We get to kick it off against Geelong

The AFLX games consist of two 10 minute halves with seven players on the field and three interchange players for each team.

RossFC do you know what the SANFL version is? The AFL have 28 minutes between start of each game whereas the SANFL have 55 minutes.

Edit just saw its 12 players and 4 x 10 minutes. Does that mean its on the full field? Too many variations see

Surely that prize money is per player...

So its 12 players on a normal field??

Because training has to be done. This game doesn't. It serves zero purpose, there is nothing on the end of it. The training is for and has an AFL flag on the end of it. There is thus a purpose, a goal and the ultimate achievement linked to the training. This game has none of that.

Wait a minute, are you suggesting the AFLX Grand Final is worth less than the Premiership season one?

Revolutionary.
For a second there I thought the scores would be scrapped when the siren went and it would go to s school yard 'last goal wins'.

If ports power didn't steal all sanfull monies they'd be able to pay millions

And we spent most of it on drugs alcohol and hookers. The rest we just wasted. :D

Fair bit of a congested fixture.

9th of Feb: SANFL Fast Footy Magpies vs WWT Eagles
10th of Feb: SANFL Fast Footy Magpies vs Westies then 3 hours later PAFC Family Day Trial Game.
15th of Feb: AFLX Power vs Geelong & Freo

Normally for Family Day we field a few Maggies players so I'm guessing the SANFL Fast Footy squads will be Academy players.

No idea about line up structures but I'll have a crack at picking a team. Since Robbie is apparently going to play, I've added him add one of the players;

Marshall
Bonner
Neade
R Gray
McKenzie
Barry
Johnson

I haven't looked into it enough to know if there's a bench, so I'll pick three emergencies and they can form the bench if there is one.

Irra
Snelling
Drew

Basically picked for speed, one tall and a long kick. I'd have Marshall and McKenzie at opposite ends most of the time, with no dedicated ruck. This is all based on my two minutes of research and care about AFLX.

What our team should look like

Marshall
Motlop
Neade
Atley
Drew
hombsch (assuming everyone takes a tall fwd)
Howard (ruck)
McKenzie
Barry
Johnson

Extra additions

Farrell
Garner
Patmore

Motlop barely looks like he's even hit the training track yet. Can't see him playing. I agree with your sentiment though. Though I'd be chucking Toumpas in as well as he is expendable
