It used to be when the two teams were SANFL and VFL but before our entry to the AFL Collingwood were one of the teams that objected due to black and white and they object to us using our old jumper against other teams so are not as popular with some Power supporters now. My main point in my post was that we support Port and anyone who is playing the cows.

Understandable, and for ny other team absolutely, but not Collingwood... EVER!

I would cheer for the draw and every player to suffer from heatstroke

The field should be oval, though. Just paint oval boundaries inside the rectangle...

The problem with that is the viewing angles. People on the corners of the stadium would be a long way away from the action. That's the same issue we have with the square field game being played on AFL grounds.

It is footy. One is always far away from the action.

Seriously, the stadia are smaller, and any loss in one side is compensated by a gain in the other. The far side gets closer to the spectator.

The site www.coopersstadium.com.au has the usual warning that tickets should not be searched for on google and only purchased from ticketek. With the number of warnings there have been in the past you would think scam sites would be a thing of the past but it seems that PT Barnum was right, there is a sucker born every minute.
Had a look at one of these sites(viagogo). They draw you in by saying there are very few tickets left(they told me 38) and then the charge for what was called a red GA with unrestricted view was $61. There is no such thing on ticketek, just the $10 concession, $15 adult and $30 family tickets.

Wouldn’t surprise me... the stadium only holds 15K and there is 6 groups of supporters. You’d think us and Adel would account for 10-12K the rest made up by local or traveling fans of the other four teams.

It can't be. I've just been on the official ticketek site and it is still offering tickets. Scam sites like viagogo say things like the game is nearly sold out so that people will buy invalid tickets from them without thinking.

Even with the novelty and the fact Port and the cows are playing 16500 may be a stretch. The NAB challenge between the two SA teams in 2015 drew only 13000 and that was free.

It’s more the SA based fans of those sides. Despite the crows propaganda them and Port only make up 80-90% of the AFL supporters in SA. When your club may play only 0 or 1 time a year here otherwise, even seeing them live in a Mickey Mouse competition has an appeal.

You on the take? They're a sham. You need only look at their facebook to see that it's thousands and thousand of people that have been utterly ****ed by them. I've never seen anything like it. "Be factual about it", carn to end all carns. They run no checks on the tickets, unlike official resellers who will cancel the previous ticket and re-issue a new barcode to the new owner of the ticket. So there is absolutely nothing stopping people from duplicating tickets or providing fakes.

These sites work for some people who may be lucky enough to never have any problems - they need some positive feedback. But the fact remains that the only site that should be used is ticketek. But if they're so honest as you say why was the site trying to offer me $61 tickets, which do not exist, and saying the event was nearly sold out?
As I mentioned on an earlier post on Saturday they said there were only 38 tickets left, went onto the site again today and they said the same thing.
