He's dangerous, isn't he and he looked that way before tonight.
A blend of Robert Harvey and Dangerfield may be on the cards, but of course, a long way to go.
Average to watch as a supporter. Product needs tinkering to survive. Not horrible, not great - just bog average.
Observations; the format really showed up the attribute of 'decision making'. Silvagni did mostly the right things all the time while on ground. Macreadie while competitive and tried hard non stop, continually made decision errors. Same with a smaller sample size did Cam O'Shea. Polson struggled as well overall. All did good things as well but poor decisions means a net loss for the side.
Fisher got better as the game went on and was good. Dow good.
Agree with previous poster about Carlton trying to get 10 points on the 40 metre line 3-4 times when the better decision was to keep moving fwd and take the 6. Part of the poor decision making that lost us the games. 10 points is great but 1 point + giving the ball to the opposition on restart is a killer.
Kennedy lost a bit effectiveness in this format as inside mids not required.
Nothing much to take out of it really except Fisher and Silvagni showed good decision making and the rest struggled.

But won't that got to a KPPWhy didnt i get on Dow for rising star @34 a month ago this kid will be a star
Pickett touch it?? It's just a hit n giggle i know, but I'm not sure if he troubled the statistician tonight, a bit disappointing, i have him pencilled in for a very big year
To think Paddy's predominantly an inside mid too...
He's going to be lethal if we use him on a wing/flank
Just questioning his kicking.Would have liked a win or two but not too fussed. Saw enough to get excited for the real stuff.
Are we really questioning Marchy after 4 x 10 min halves of an unorthodox game on a smaller field and just throwing away his entire 2017? I’ll back him in to have a great season.
I agree. Some of the comments on a pre pre season training drill in mid feb are amazing. IT MEANS NOTHING
Big footy knobs at their finest...writing off players from an afl x game
If Kerridge is best 22 were going backwards.Rubbish will play a heap

Didn't feel that way about it, but he certainly moved the footy on at pace.Dow's field kicking is legit, short and sharp.
He was playing as a mid, which clearly wrecked him. Glorified fitness drill.Meh
Marchbank did ok in game 1 and looked a bit gassed by the end of game 2
It's never been a strength, for sure.
Got by last year with picking the easy 25-30m option. At this level, he'll need to do that again or dish it off to Willo or Simmo.
It's a bit worrying when we're supposedly going to try to play a more attacking style this year...which might mean more risky, attacking kicks from Marchbank rather than easy 20m chip kicks to a bloke in acres of space.
Silvagni's kicking was pretty average too i thought.
He will not be. Only played 11 games due to Curnow being injured really. Probably a top 25 player in 2017. Would hope he’d slip to top 30ish this year.If Kerridge is best 22 were going backwards.
