While there is occasionally a gap so large that you should turn it down....its never an age gap.

There is a simple global rule to follow -

For younger, divide age by two and add seven.
For older, mulitply age by two and subtract seven.

So as a twenty your old, you can get your end stuck into anyone aged between 17 and 33.

Yeah it is a pretty decent way to do it. If you think it's a bit low just do it by 8.

So a 21 y.o can date a 17.5 yo

25 - 19.5

30 - 22

40 - 27

In my mind it's not really about age as such, more about maturity.
If you both want the same out of the relationship then yeh go for it, but don't be surprised if your looking for different things, because your both at diff stages of ur life.

I have a little experience in this; I was 17 and she was 15... it lasted for 6 months...

It's different in all situations and in reality the age difference shouldn't really be a barrier...

But I do like the '-7' or '+7' thing lol...

Is she a mature 17? nothing worse than a young bird who hasn't grown out of it. I'm 21, she is 18...couldn't put up with the childishness.

My problem would be if she was a school girl...Thats a bit much..Not being able to see her during the week...Going to School parties...Leaving her at home while u go to a pub/club.
Having to buy her alcohol etc.

18+ and all rules go out the window.
I know guys 30+ that regularly pick up the 18 yos...

Fine in my opinion, mind you when I was 22 I had a short relationship with a 17 year old and it was fine.

It really comes down to if you click or not. Age can be a problem, but it doesn't have to be.
