will pegs beat marcellin now that there captain is out of action for the year??? do you still think pegs are the team to beat??

would pegs rather play marcellin or assumption in a final? surely it would be assumption because marcellin at full strength would just about be the best side in the comp, how is marcellin's form anyway???:cool:

results from today's matches???
i saw mentone and marcellin game today. Mentone were up all day, leading by 22 at the last stage and got the first goal after 3/4 time. Marcellin found there form in the last and fought back. Marcellin leveled the scores late in the last and a goal after the siren won the game for them 86 - 80. A well fought out game, and great to watch. marcellin lucky to leave with the 4 points after only playing one good quarter of footy. Talking to a marcellin boy, they had a few big names out, including a couple of boys in vic metro and a tac player injured early in the game.

not too familiar with ags as havnt seen to many games of late, however, a few standouts, number 3 and 7 i think it was for mentone did well up forward and number 5 from marcellin did well especially in the last.

so much for house of pain.. wow
didnt you blokes talk it up
considering about 3 players out, 2 came off injured (one being a key midfeilder averaging 24 possesions and 8 defensive stats), i'd say mentone aren't all there talked up to be in this forum. And mitch brown..
did he play?

well the guy that gave a report on the game said that number 3 was a standout. number 3 is mitch brown so i think he did play.:thumbsu: and mentones efforts were outstanding considering there team isn't as good as others and to come out leading all of the game against arguably the premiership favourites, this doesn't indicate they are hacks. BINGO!

id love to know when i said they were hacks??

gee bingo
if i didnt know better your pretty confident with your trustworthy marcellin?

sittin pretty comfy are we? that the feeling out there? in the eagles nest..

if your the ambassador for marcellin than id say they've gotten ahead of themselves, i reckon theyre looking forward to more cruisy wins the rest of the year. just walk through to the premiership.

watta ya reckon boys? marcellin reckon theyve got it in the bag
haha be aware boys, the good teams are yet to play you ;)

when did i say we were easily going to beat the good teams, or have it in the bag??..
all i said was that we would beat mentone.. and we did ;)

Mentone really remind me of Port Adelaide.
why is that? how many games have mentone lost this year after being up into the last and how many have port lost doing the same thing..i find your comparison riduclous and laughable..

mentone must be shattered, 33 points up with 10 to go and they lost to a team with their best players out and only 19 players after the 1st quarter. unluck.

btw hanger in the goalsquare in the last, reminded me of moorcorft a couple of years ago.
i was down the other end and even with the rise in the centre of the ground looked massive..hope some one got some footage of it..

but u must consider..
how many games have mentone played and port adelaide played?
theres obviously more choking to come

Look out 4 jason 'dizzle' reid, having a very strong season in the ack blues is this popular lad from temora.
Is he in contention 2 respresent the AGSV at the end of the season?

whats the news on this injured TAC cup player for marcellin?
who does it look like are going to be missing for their vital clash with assumption on friday??????

unlike majority of people in this forum i am going to give criedit where credits due and thats to mentone on their efforts on the weekend. your only as good as the team which you field and for mentone to lead for the game whole game is a great effoort which should be recognised for a school which is not known for its footyball history. yes marcelin did have some outs but as i said before you are only as good as the team which you play with.
we are half way through the season and i would like to get an idea of everyones prediction on the final ladder.....
PEGS
marcelin
ACK
mentone or trinity (meet last round and that game will decide this place)
TPS
YV
ivanhoe
camberwell

still pretty early id say pal but aps comp is looking pretty good...for ags k.smith-cameron certainty after dominating for mentone all year, unlucky last year not to get a position just having to be an emerg for the rep game last year...

I would have thought so to having watched dizzle 'ratdog' reid on numerous occassions in the dark and light blue. I played on him when ACK played Xavier and this humble 'gun' murdered us out of the back pocket... The APS side will b strong this yr but I think AGSV selectors will b mad to miss this selection.
