3 possessions 1 goal no thanks. A very poor mans Leon Davis. Not what we want in the big games.

Would be about as useful as my toe jam in a Granny.3 possessions 1 goal no thanks. A very poor mans Leon Davis. Not what we want in the big games.
^This. We could have taken Garlett in a trade for peanuts. Saad is a good set shot, but not a patch on Garlett as a crumber. Take out last season and Garlett's record is also much better, indicating a form slump rather than just general spudliness.29 games over 2 seasons.
1.5 goal / 9 possession / 3 tackle per game forward....
on the fence.
not far off Garlett's stats (2/12/3.5), i'd prefer garlett.

Well guys, do we take a punt on Saad? Apparently we're interested in him. I'd say hes a reasonably low risk gamble.
Pros:
- 24 Years old ready made AFL footballer.
- Exceptional shot at goal.
- Has experience at the top flight.
- Small crumbing forward
- Elliot looks all but set to play midfield next season leaving a spot open for a small forward
- Tackling pressure was a highlight in the forward 50 when at the Saints
Cons:
- 4 other teams want him (Saints one of them)
- Had a tenacity to go missing in games
- Could he play in front of bigger crowds?
- Do we take another gamble
- How much will it take to get him at the Pies
Would be about as useful as my toe jam in a Granny.
(Mmmmm that come out kinda weird, even for me)

I know, i know but the Doc said I was ok. Best get a second opinion tomorrow.I'm deeply concerned for you, that's twice you've agreed with THATSGOLD today![]()

What a steal Joe Blogs!Have a think about the number of players we've been linked to, and then not picked up.
Chances of us picking up Saad would therefore seem minimal.
Expect at 11:15am tomorrow for us all to be madly scrambling to find out about the no-names we've picked up.
But that's cool, by 5pm we'll have concluded that we've picked up the steals of the draft![]()
Kennedy can produce those numbers and more in 2015.He has something that we don't have. He's a quick, small, crumbing forward, with a decent set shot (featuring the longest run up in the game).
We have Jamie, but he's more of a leading, jumping forward, then a ground level player.
Would cost us a pick in the PS draft (am I right?) So why not? I'd take Jeff Garlett first, but Saad would cost less.
You'd imagine after what he's been through in the last year or so, that he'd be mentally strong and itching for another chance.
We should have got Jeff Garlett.
Cheap and has a far better goal scoring record and crumbing ability. Saad lines up from FB to take a set shot.
I know it's not a popular opinion but i've always thought the position of "crumbing forward" was always a bit overrated and not necessarily needed, particularly in today's game. If you have a great one it's awesome, but I tend to think the flashiness and excitement of the players who usually play in the position often clouds their usefulness a bit. I'd always prefer to have midfielders with a few tricks rotate through there rather than a guy who is rendered inconsistent based mostly on the position. Instead of getting a Saad or the mooted Garlett i would much rather see Kennedy in the 22 each week playing forward with cameos through the middle.
Given the Dees lack of goal scoring options he will kick 50+ next year then and be their best player.I don’t Rate Garlett at all. He will do nothing at Dees.
Not a Team Player and only try’s when he can kick a goal and that is all
