Corr To Depart

A versatile defender will depart after eight seasons.

GIANTS defender Aidan Corr has informed the club that he’ll exercise his rights as a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Corr, 26, has played 98 games for the GIANTS since being selected at pick 14 in the 2012 draft.

The defender has indicated to the club that he and his partner are looking to return to their home state of Victoria after eight years in Sydney.

GIANTS General Manager Football Jason McCartney said: “We understand the reasons behind Aidan’s decision and we wish him well for the future.”

Corr has played 15 games in 2020 and missed his first match of the season in round 17 due to an ankle injury.

If it is 5yrs as reported that’d answer why he’s picked us. Not against it but we’d have to be very bloody sure that he’s a long-term player for us.

LOL. Claytons “Shawing Up the Defence”? The last thing we need is a “Serviceable Backman”. We need genuine Midfielders. Guys that can run both ways and kick. Our biggest hole on our list. That and pressure small forwards. :stern look

5 Years is a stupid length to contract a “Serviceable Defender” for. :stern look
