Aidan Parker has left South Adelaide today, citing indifferences with senior coach Robert Pyman throughout this season.

Parker will continue his apprenticeship in the SANFL with the North Adelaide Football Club, starting with the Roosters match against the Panthers at Noarlunga on Saturday.

Definitely adds a bit of spice to the action at Noarlunga on Saturday. and I reckon Jarman could just give this youngster the guidance he needs to crack AFL ranks.

About time. Parker has been used all over the place this year and as a result his form has suffered. Never has he played out a game in one position. He has been treated in the same manner that Hart treated Gilham last year at North.

Good move by Parker. AJ will get the best out of him.

Used all over the place??? He'd fit into Gary Ayres style of play perfectly with the amount of experience it appears he'd had at it wouldn't he?

On a serious note, definitely an excellent move.

Very reliable source on Footysa.com, and has also been reported on the NAFC unofficial forum.

Jarman would have had wet dreams about those 2 being part of North Adelaide's defence :D

Scary thing is, if North Adelaide can win enough games to make the finals, there Goal to goal spine could look like this, even in a few weeks if Ladhams gets droped, l hope not he is a good player but North will be very good .

FF D hargrave
CHF I Perrie* May Play For North Adelaide after his injury
C C Ladhams
CHB A Huskas
FB A Parker

My fear is if the guy is good enough, they would have made sure he stayed at Souths.
It wasn't their decision to make. Player is allowed to change clubs if he wishes to do so and South really couldn't stop him. After all he is a Crows first and foremost.

Lets hope this is a "turning point" in Aidan's career, and that in two years we will have a potential AA FB with a Mal Michael-esque physique. ;)

*rubs eyes and yawns*

Ah ****, I was dreaming again.

Anyway, do your best Parky. :)

I thought Jarman switched to Norwood before the Crows inception.

As for your question... none that I can think of.

You're right Dave. Jarman went to Norwood in 1990. The only players I can think of that switched funnily enough all involve North. Gilligan went to Port from North (at the Crows request) as North wouldn't play him in the ruck as we had Sandford and Rosenboom. Perrie went from South to North and now Parker (if that is confirmed). Also Tasker went from North to Glenelg.Hocking went to West from Central but that was after he'd finished at the Crows.

We've also had Smith switch from Port to Sturt and Schuback switch from West to Glenelg... but none of those could be said to have had a "decent AFL career".

He's not playing for anybody.

His clearance will be processed next week and he's expected to play with North next week.
