aish like pendles can start in the middle then float down to half back to launch attacks from there, as links in the chain to gain space and time

No. Aish in midfield i'm afraid. We have many players already looking at securing their place in that role, he won't even be suggested to go half back.

Pricey97 nailed it; Treloar and Aish are going to improve our efficiency going inside 50. With Moore, Fas and Elliott up forward along with Howe now we have some accurate goal kickers and the days of us kicking 11.23 each week must become a thing of the past.
Yes we can go to 12.22 each week

(Tongue in cheek  )

That's not what I'm talking about - if tackling was all you needed as a defender then anyone could do it. He doesn't have it in him to shut down an opposition player for an entire game (or I suspect even an entire quarter), but that's not really a slight against him as he's got the skills and decision making to be more of an attacking outside midfielder anyway which is what we need.

True, but you're miles off saying he doesn't have a defensive side. He's a very smart footballer who knows where to position himself to provide an outlet for a player under pressure. He can certainly lay a tackle and reads the play well. I haven't seen enough of him to say whether he play a lock down role, but it's a misrepresentation to say he doesn't have a defensive bone in his body.

I'm not miles off saying he doesn't have it in him to keep his opponent down and get touches himself (or even just get his opponent down).

Being able to position yourself as an outlet in general play and tackling at stoppages does not equate to being an effective defender so I'll stick by what I said if that's ok with you - the kid doesn't have a defensive (or rather defender's) bone in his body and trying to plug him in at half back would be folly when he has so much to offer forward of centre.

You can stick with whatever opinion you're comfortable with. I still think you are miles off suggesting he doesn't have the skill set to be an effective defender. I'd play him on a wing or forward of centre, but I've yet to see the evidence to suggest he can't play in that half back distributing role.
