the aish trade will be hard to do, lm still 50/50 about him, but he would be an up grade on seedy.
brissy carried on too much last year, and doing so this year will hurt there brand up here.
with the debt they have, this club have to be more professional. loosing good players is bad for them,
but carrying on like d..k heads has turned a lot of support off them. doing the deal and moving
on quickly, and concentrating on who will go north is better for all concern.

I think it's in the best interest to do whats best for each club and the player. Forget about the past, this is a new opportunity and those clubs that make a stance like this aren't only affecting next seasons list, but for years possibly later down the track. Trouble is if you're not performing on the field, this easily compounds into further off field issues.

If Brisbane or any other club decided not to trade a player based out of spite more than anything, there is no way a club like that can progress quickly. What if a Pendlebury type player comes out next year and says I want to go to Brisbane, but previous years of playing games prevents an amicable trade being reached. It's just crazy.

We came out of last years Beam's trade period very well. We didn't really know it or acknowledge it at the time but we did. Brisbane were also happy to get Beams and at the time only a few were concerned about losing Aish but it wasn't like he was a regular best 22 player. What's done is done. There's some big decisions that Brisbane as a club needs to make in order to show the AFL that it is doing everything necessary within their own powers to progress the club without support.

I'm sure if they found an amicable trade for Aish to get here and Brisbane still struggled next season, the AFL would look at any future request for a priority pick in different light than forcing him into the draft for nothing.

Can I also just say, Aish is a quality player from good footy stock. With the draft being reported a little meh this season that is more reason we should be working with Brisbane to get him here.

People need to write of this season from Aish.

So Brisbane's choices are
1. Allow Aish to walk to the PSD and get nothing for a guy they drafted in the 1st Round

2. Do a deal with Collingwood for say, two guaranteed 2nd round picks, or a player and a 2nd round pick

And people actually believe Brisbane will take option 1
Not on this Planet, they won't

Leigh Matthews on 3AW right now reiterating Brisbane's stance that he won't be traded.

They seem Stupid Enough to take Option 1

Well Aish will go to the AFLPA and try and find another way to go around the Idiots at the Bears

Leigh Matthews on 3AW saying 100% Aish won't be traded.

That's the Lions official stance as a club.

Lololololol enjoy the spoon in 2016 as well!

No big deal. Other clubs including us, can start refusing to trade players to them as well. Clubs have long memories.

Honestly, Brisbane are pieces of shit. Always have been. Just fold them.

Oh Ed, so short signed bro. Let these malakes continue to entertain us for years.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. That club is a basket case. What have they got against trading him to us? I thought they got Beams for a pretty good deal last year. Bunch of flogs at that club. No wonder Aish wants to leave. They have Rockcliff as Captain the biggest flog of them all.

Please Leppo, I'm Aisho's long lost fourth cousin twice removed, and I live in Melbourne and am vewy, vewy sick!

Yeah, that's the way to maintain a good culture for the young blokes coming to the club. Loyalty thought fear. Stay with us or else. Don't worry about fostering a positive environment where kids actually want to stay. What a joke.

Watch them burn their bridges on keeping him within the next 24 hours before they let the dust settle.

I reckon we will be throwing up just a second rounder or something ridiculous. It will turn into Oxley and 2 first rounders (provided we get one for Seedsman and one for Freeman).

A lot to give up, but he'll be one of our new 200 game players.
