Tend to agree. His comments are for the supporter base basically to soften them up and make it look like they didn't get bent over when the deal finally gets done. I don't think anyone realistically expected the trade to be only one 2ND rounder.

It would be nice if we could get another 3rd round pick from somewhere, as Brisbane just want the points it doesn't matter how it's packaged. I'd prefer to keep a second round pick and instead package up 2x third round picks.

We have the currency to complete the transactions as we have the picks required to secure both players.

I'm certain you have can take just two in the national draft. Either way that's irrelevant.

We are trading out two firsts but we are getting a second back with Treloar.
We will be getting a future second for Freeman.
That leaves us with a total of 3 second rounders- 2 of which will be forwarded on for Aish.

It's clear we aren't rating the draft and therefore it's irrelevant as to where we take our picks. They will all be at 40+.
