That deal is about to be signed off tomorrow for Saints 2016 second rounder.
 
Have a listen to Shwab around the 6.40 mark he's asked about Bastinac.
My understanding is they're happy to swap Bastinac for Aish, so we have to satisfy North.
Be interested in the thoughts of others.

We need the GWS 2nd round pick for the Aish deal. Nth not interested in Freeman 2016 pick.

Nth(who really don't want to help as they want Aish) are asking overs for Bastinac from us. Once Treloar done, which Hine expects to be tomorrow afternoon, we then give Bears a 2nd rounder and Nth a 2nd rounder.

I din't hear any mention of two 2nd rounders, (or the equivalent of)?
Later on he says losing Aish for a 2nd rounder doesn't work, meaning they want a player.
 
Freeman trade will give us the second rounder, reckon we will hold out till the end. Bears need picks for Academy handout so Bastinac doesn't help them as they have to off load a second rounder as well. They will take a second and whatever else we feel like giving them. This one will go to buzzer.

Yes a player - Bastinac and a pick for points for there academy players. Don't want two picks want a pick and a player who he identified as Bastinac and stated it is up to us to satisfy Nth.

The deal will be

Bastinac and our 2nd rounder to Bears
Our 2nd rounder to Nth
Aish to Pies

I'm sick of Brisbane bull$&#%.

Rather Aish walk and see Brisbane get nothing if it means he doesn't get to pies, as much as I'd love to get him. I actually think I would enjoy that more then getting Aish considering how annoying that football club is.
 
Are we holding onto Freeman in case the Aish deal folds.

I'm working so I don't have a handle on the trade subtleties that have eventuated today.

In no way, shape or form are Brisbane at fault here. They deserve fair recompense for Aish. At present we can't give them that because we have to wait for the Treloar deal to go through. The Treloar deal wasn't going through as GWS had to get some other deals done first to keep us happy.
Once the Treloar deal goes through Hine will move on to getting Aish. Not sure what all the hoo ha is about.

That would be stupid for Norf tbh. I dare say a St Kilda 2016 second round pick will be lower than our second round this year.

I understand they want to be fairly compensated as we would in same position, however don't think they are being reasonable in doing so. Every other team this trade period has done what they can to support players getting to clubs they nominate, even if it means they think they are getting unders. Just don't think they have handled themselves well, don't know why Aish is any different.

What do you think is fair compensation for Aish?
 
Serious question guys. North want Aish so do you think they will co-operate with a 3 way trade to get Aish to Pies?

They won't like it. But Aish doesn't want to go.there it's pretty simple.

If they don't cooperate. You guys just get two second round picks for Aish. Which is a much better result anyway. Bastinac is a nothing player. 4 year deal will bite you on the ass. You could take 21 to the draft and get a much better player and still have another pick.

And you can still trade for Bastinac anyway. He's got a 4 year deal, no way he turns that down. He will force his way out. Job security is huge for players like him
