Yes. Good key position players are rare, and Weitering is exceptionally good.So better deal than Treloar who is proven?

Could also be next Jack Watts. Treloar much safer number 1 pick if they wanted.Yes. Good key position players are rare, and Weitering is exceptionally good.
Highly unlikely that would happen. Youth recruitment has come a long way since Watts was drafted.Could also be next Jack Watts. Treloar much safer number 1 pick if they wanted.

Jay Clark saying Bastinac and North picks 34,38,40 (gives them enough academy points) for Brisbane pick 17.
Not bad for Brisbane. They get a mature mid and Brisbane get their required points.
What then satisfies them for Aish. Saints future 2nd? Would have thought they'd want more.
Why?Sounds like we're up shit creek then for J.Aish if this North trade goes through
Wouldn't that be an adequate amount of points etc. for them to secure their academy players? Why?
7 years is a long time.B.S. Watts wasn't even that long ago
I'd say we give them a our future 2nd plus something else. That should be ok with that! They wont send him away for nothing!Wouldn't that be an adequate amount of points etc. for them to secure their academy players?
Let's just wait and see conflicting stories from the journos again. Jay Clark is the only one that's gone with this Gleeson and Warner went with 3 way between us, North and Brisbane.
The only thing that might save us is if Pickers (who manages both Basti and Aish) worked it so that the contracted Bastinac would only accept the deal if Aish got to the Pies.
Pickering is the wildcard here imo. He has a reputation for getting his clients to their destination. Doubt he will allow clubs to screw one of his clients over if a deal could be made to benefit both of them.Let's just wait and see conflicting stories from the journos again. Jay Clark is the only one that's gone with this Gleeson and Warner went with 3 way between us, North and Brisbane.

Norf probably a bit spewing about the offer to Aish being turned down. So are Brisbane. It is warming to see that our club can play a pivotal role in clubs removing their mutual distrust and unite them. Again us that isWould screw our chances of getting Aish hard. That's 2 (3?) 2nd round picks and a 3rd round pick for Bastinac and pick 17. Great deal for both if that's the case...and as I said, would screw us hard.

Except that Aish has nominated us. If he weren't fussed between us and North then we might be screwed but at this point we're absolutely still in frontWould screw our chances of getting Aish hard. There's no way that trade gets approved. 34, 38 + 40 (1436 points) for 17 (1025) on it's own is about 200 points more than the AFL will accept. Then there's also Bastinac going to BL.Jay Clark saying Bastinac and North picks 34,38,40 (gives them enough academy points) for Brisbane pick 17.

Isn't that only if you were trying to upgrade picks on their own? Having a player in there changes things as its an intangible. The deal is three picks and a player for a pick. There's no way that trade gets approved. 34, 38 + 40 (1436 points) for 17 (1025) on it's own is about 200 points more than the AFL will accept. Although it would pretty much even out if Aish was going to North as part of the deal.
Basically every journalist is trying to get the scoop and outdo the other by making up scenarios and hoping it sticks. In the end one of them is bound to be true. Which one, we don't know.Let's just wait and see conflicting stories from the journos again. So going in to 2016 it will be 6 years since we won a flag. Is that a long time?7 years is a long time.
