Could also be next Jack Watts. Treloar much safer number 1 pick if they wanted.
Highly unlikely that would happen. Youth recruitment has come a long way since Watts was drafted.

Jay Clark saying Bastinac and North picks 34,38,40 (gives them enough academy points) for Brisbane pick 17.

Not bad for Brisbane. They get a mature mid and Brisbane get their required points.

What then satisfies them for Aish. Saints future 2nd? Would have thought they'd want more.

Would screw our chances of getting Aish hard. That's 2 (3?) 2nd round picks and a 3rd round pick for Bastinac and pick 17. Great deal for both if that's the case...and as I said, would screw us hard.

Let's just wait and see conflicting stories from the journos again. Jay Clark is the only one that's gone with this Gleeson and Warner went with 3 way between us, North and Brisbane.

The only thing that might save us is if Pickers (who manages both Basti and Aish) worked it so that the contracted Bastinac would only accept the deal if Aish got to the Pies.

They have No Idea.

Same Thing about Treloar. Get 2-4 Different Stories

Pickering is the wildcard here imo. He has a reputation for getting his clients to their destination. Doubt he will allow clubs to screw one of his clients over if a deal could be made to benefit both of them.

Norf probably a bit spewing about the offer to Aish being turned down. So are Brisbane. It is warming to see that our club can play a pivotal role in clubs removing their mutual distrust and unite them. Again us that is :p
We pick up Aish next year if need be.

Except that Aish has nominated us. If he weren't fussed between us and North then we might be screwed but at this point we're absolutely still in front

There's no way that trade gets approved. 34, 38 + 40 (1436 points) for 17 (1025) on it's own is about 200 points more than the AFL will accept. Then there's also Bastinac going to BL.

Although it would pretty much even out if Aish was going to North as part of the deal.

If he goes into the draft who dictates length and payment of his contract Aish or the club who picks him?

What should we give up for Aish? If we get pick 20/21 back in the Treloar deal and used that pick and our second rounder which is pick 27 the points add up to pick 7 which seems a bit overs. Pick 20/21 and our pick 47 roughly equals to pick 13. That seems more fair.

Aish won't be going into the national draft.

Brisbane aren't going to screw themselves out of a future pick when they have an extremely highly rated academy kid next year as well.

Clubs don't operate that way, it's a business. They will deal.

Relax folks.

Isn't that only if you were trying to upgrade picks on their own? Having a player in there changes things as its an intangible. The deal is three picks and a player for a pick.

Basically every journalist is trying to get the scoop and outdo the other by making up scenarios and hoping it sticks. In the end one of them is bound to be true. Which one, we don't know.
