They don't seem to a very well run, or particulalry bright football club but surely they're not that ****ing dumb. He wants out, deal with it and move on. We did it with Beams, Freeman's the same type of scenario as Aisho, that's life. Get what you can.

On another note pleased for Aisho to nominate us and reasonably confident that Hine and co will get something done.

Good question.

What is it about the Aish trade that particularly upsets them over and above others wanting out?

Is it purely down to the fact that like Polec he wants out after only 2 years and they are drawing a line in the sand? Is it that they really hate Aish because it seems the whole time he has been there he has been rumoured to want out?

What can they now possibly achieve out of this stance? Aish is now pissed off and no chance to stay there. Other players are going to be even less happy in going to a club that acts like that and new draftees are going to be going in nervously to a club that treats their players like shit.

Brisbane just can't win this. Someone have a crack at telling me how it benefits them?

Effectively Lethal is saying no trade could ever see a win-win situation for the Lions, no matter what is offered up for Aish. So hypothetically the blues could offer up pick 1 for Aish, but this wouldn't be a win for the Lions? Please......

I see why the Lions are fed up with losing players, but Lethal's statements are illogical.

Either that or it will take them till end of draft period to agree trying to frustrate our other trade negotiations.
Guess how future picks will react when they hear they are drafted by the Bears.

Its called a contract. If we don't get a decent deal Redden stays.

So much hot air. Very unlikely we end up with Aish IMO based on the Brisbane stance. So be it, and not really fussed.

Massive implications for Brisbane, as players looking to leave and they will walk to the draft with Brisbane getting nothing. No chance of them gain priority picks fro the AFL with this approach.

Brisbane making their own bed so they will have to lie in it. What comes around goes around.

They way I look at a possible Aish acquisition is that it kind of cancels out Freeman leaving. Same draft, couple picks different... possibility that Aish was our next choice anyway. Aish in, Freeman out is a draw IMO.

We wanted Aish ahead of Freeman, but the Lions snaffled him. I'm looking at it the same way, and would hope that it is literally true, in terms of pick from Saints received for Freeman plus Oxley equals Aish.

No I highly doubt anything like this will happen. Sets a bad precedent but then we are talking the AFL so stranger things have happened

I really believe he won't be at Collingwood which is a shame as he would definitely been an improvement to our list.
